To strengthen the company's corporate culture and create an atmosphere of 'respect, participation, recognition, and sharing'. After the first phase of the 'Future and Reading' activity in August 2009, FPC organized the second 'Future and Reading' activity – the essay and speech activities with the theme of 'Respect' in 2010.
The event was held from April to June 2010 and lasted for 3 months. Nearly 300 employees of Qiancheng Petrochemical and its subsidiaries participated in the event. Focusing on the “respect” culture advocated by the company this year, the activities are divided into two parts: essay and speech.
In the essay writing activities, employees actively participated in and contributed to the submission. As of June 30, a total of 64 essays were collected, including 43 in Ningbo, 18 in Shanghai, 1 in Beijing, and 2 in Bien. The works are rich in subject matter and diverse in variety. At the same time, one first prize, three second prizes, five third prizes and seven encouragement prizes were selected.
The speech contest was held simultaneously in Ningbo and Shanghai, with a total of 40 employees. The speakers were prepared, clear, or swayed, passionate, deep-rooted and thought-provoking. The atmosphere of the competition was hot and climax, which made employees recognize the importance of mutual respect and cooperation between various departments. The eloquence of the staff fully demonstrates the elegance of the future. In this competition, 7 winners (6 in Ningbo Headquarters, 1 in Shanghai Office) and 34 in encouragement awards (24 in Ningbo Headquarters and 10 in Shanghai Office) were selected in the form of on-site voting.
Through this event, employees not only broadened their horizons, gained knowledge, improved their quality, exchanged experiences, but also improved their writing skills and expression skills. In order to build a learning enterprise and improve the overall quality of employees, the company will hold a theme essay speech every half year, and regularly carry out employee cultural exchanges.
